California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) & U.S. State Privacy Notice

This notice supplements the Adbird Privacy Policy and applies to residents of U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws, including California (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), and other states with similar laws. Terms used in this notice have the meanings given to them in the applicable state law.

1. Categories of Personal Information We Collect

In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information, as defined by the CCPA:

Sources: directly from you (registration, support), automatically from your devices (cookies, log files), and from our tracking/attribution systems.

Business purposes for collection: account management, commission calculation and payouts, conversion attribution, fraud prevention and security, analytics and service improvement, legal compliance. See our Privacy Policy for details.

2. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

Adbird does not sell personal information for monetary compensation.

However, we disclose certain personal information (identifiers such as IP addresses and device information β€” Categories A and F) to third-party tracking, affiliate, and advertising partners for conversion attribution. Under the CCPA/CPRA, some of these disclosures may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Right to opt out: You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information at any time via the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link, available in the footer of every page on our website. We also honor opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) where required by law.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

3. Retention

We retain each category of personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including compliance with tax, accounting, and legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

4. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you have the right to:

  • Know / Access: confirm whether we process your personal information and access the specific pieces we hold, including the categories collected, sources, purposes, and third parties to whom it was disclosed.
  • Delete: request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (e.g., completing transactions, fraud prevention, legal compliance).
  • Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out: opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted/cross-context behavioral advertising, and of profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information: we use sensitive personal information (identity documents) only for the purposes permitted by Β§1798.121(a) (e.g., verification, security, payout processing) and do not use it to infer characteristics.
  • Portability: receive your personal information in a portable and readily usable format.
  • Non-discrimination: we will not deny services, charge different rates, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your privacy rights.

5. How to Submit a Request

You may exercise your rights by:

Verification: We will verify your identity using information associated with your account (such as your registered email address). We may request additional information where necessary to verify your identity; this information is used solely for verification.

Authorized agents: You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require proof of the agent's authority (e.g., signed permission) and verification of your identity.

Response timing: We will confirm receipt of access, deletion, and correction requests within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time (up to an additional 45 days), we will inform you in writing. Opt-out requests are processed within 15 business days.

Appeals (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and similar): If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.

6. Notice of Financial Incentive

Adbird's affiliate program compensates partners for referral activity as described in our program terms. This compensation relates to your affiliate performance, not to the value of your personal information, and does not constitute a financial incentive program under the CCPA requiring separate opt-in.

7. Changes to This Notice

We review and update this notice at least once every 12 months. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
